Nice essay :P. I feel the same way. All i want to say is LOOK before uploading. See if the game hsn't already been done.

Yeah, I forgot to mention that too. The amount of duplicate games appearing now is growing. Perhaps the uploading page should remind people to search for the game first.
I believe Fluff made a feedback to target game duplicates.

^ JUST LOOK FOR GAWD SAKES! IT COULD EVENTUALLY TURN TO A STAGE WHERE THE PERSON WHO DUPLICATES THE GAME TAKES ALL CREDIT FROM THE PERSON WHO WAS ACTUALLY FIRST TO UPLOAD IT. ME AND JORDIE ARE ALWAYS GOING THROUGH THIS

Well, all we need to do is look for good banners, icons and/or backgrounds, and contribute!
I guess that will make the games just a bit better, well, enough to make it less annoying.

Well, it isn't just duplicate games, it's also the icons people are using, and the poor quality descriptions and instructions. Perhaps more instructions on the uploading page would help?

Yeah, there's been some guy uploading bunch of multiplayer games that were there already, I think it's for Juegox360.com.
Apparently, most of that guy's games are gone now.

As you very much well know, the uploaders have the option in giving games their icons, banners, backgrounds, etc. The only way that there is going to be change is if other people contribute better artwork. Replacing crappy icons for crappy icons doesn't get anything done.

I'm afraid I have to disagree with you there. I would much rather have a crappy game icon and banner, then the 'personal brand' that some of the peolple I mentioned above are using. Seeing poor quality game graphics still makes me want to play the game regardless, but the 'I uploaded this game, so I'm going to make all my uploaded games have my avatar' thing, makes it look to me like these people are wrongly claiming to have made these games ( I may have given examples above ) and THAT is the main problem that I was getting at.
I know that I can , and probably will, upload better graphics myself, but didn't Nonoba promise harsh punishment to anyone who illegitimally clicked the 'Developed by you' box?

Just to bump the thread a little, there seems to be another person doing the whole, personal logo thing.
http://www.nonoba.com/1171344
That guy has uploaded a few games, and all of them have a ripped-off image of the Nonoba logo, made to say "John's Games". He also uploaded them, not developed them, so should be trying to give the developers of the game as good a chance as possible of getting their game played.
Now if that isn't a bad example of how to upload games icons, nothing is.

http://nonoba.com/purple-jacket/dice
http://nonoba.com/snowwolf08/snake
http://nonoba.com/snowwolf08/matchem-up-brain-game
All of these games have been uploaded again by various people, using the flash file provided by Nonoba? Why is this happening? Also, in case there was a genuine reason for this happening, it would seem that UPLOADERS have started using there own sort of, personal insignia as the icon for all their games.
This is absolutely shameful. This is clearly claiming ownership of games they have not made, and it is not helpful for people wanting to look for a good game, and look to it's banner for support. The following people are mostly to blame for this:
http://nonoba.com/supermans32
http://nonoba.com/snowwolf08
http://nonoba.com/purple-jacket
I'm not trying to individually report, harass, intimidate or annoy any of the people I have mentioned, so I won't be reporting anyone or anything like that, I simply want to bring your attention to the poor quality of the UPLOADERS uploading games.
Just as a finishing thing, I've also found recently that people have been writing disgracefully short game descriptions and instructions. Re-writing the name of a game does not constitute it's description. Also, simply writing In-game, really isn't particularly helpful in the instructions section.
So, has anyone else noticed this? Anyone want to share any views or opinions? No doubt this will get voted down by the people I have mentioned above, so please vote this up if you agree :)
