how do u put a back round on your profie

i have a backround i want to put up but i cant
figure out how can someone tell me please

step 1) click on your settings
step 2) click on text on the left side
step 3) click on edit style sheet on the right side
step 4) paste this code into the box

.maincontent{background:url('YOUR PICS URL') repeat bottom left; background-color:#000000;}
background-color:('YOUR PICS URL');
border : 5px outset #3399FF;
}


step 5) where it says YOUR PICS URL remove those words and paste your pics url, dont delete the hooks ' '
